ThermiVa requires three total treatment sessions in order to gain the full benefit of the procedure. Each of these treatments will last about 20-30 minutes and are recommended to be a month apart. Unfortunately, like most non-surgical procedures and treatments, ThermiVa doesn’t last forever, so yearly follow-up appointments are recommended in order to ensure that the effects of the procedure continue to last. Is the ThermiVa Procedure Painful?
No. ThermiVa uses radio frequency heat energy delivered through a plastic probe that is gently moved over the labia and inside the vagina. There should be no pain or discomfort felt during the procedure, however patients do report feeling a warming sensation, similar to that of a warm massage.
Since the ThermiVa procedure is non-surgical and minimally-invasive, there’s also no downtime after the procedure. Once the treatment session has been completed, you can resume all your normal daily activities.
