On the northwest side of Dallas you’ll find Garland, Texas. Garland is a great place to visit in general, with its beautiful downtown area and its restaurants and shopping, but one of our favorite things to do is enjoy some music in the park during the summer.

Every Friday from May 31st through July 12th you can bring the whole family and listen to some incredible musicians. Music in the park takes place at two different parks throughout the summer, Winters Park and Audubon Park, and features 11+ different musicians and artists playing for your entertainment.

Drive-In Movie

One of our favorite things to do on the weekends is check out what new movies are playing. And even though we love the atmosphere that an actual movie theater provides, with its comfortable seating and incredible sound, there’s just something about a drive-in movie that we absolutely love.

This summer, why not take the entire family out to the drive-in to catch a flick!

Pull your car into the lot, turn on the radio, bust out the snacks and popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.

Drive-ins have slowly faded out over the years, but thankfully the Dallas area is home to two incredible drive-in theaters showing brand new movies.

If you’ve never experienced a movie in a drive-in, it’s something we believe everyone should do at least once in their lives.
